Search for a old Game

Hi fellows redditors , I need your help this time . I search for a old PC game set up in a (dark?) Medieval world . I don't remember a lot of thing about it but I remember distinctly that a part of the game is shopkeeping (?or crafting) , there is a notion of morality in the game like you can sell illegal (for the player) thing. The game dates around ~2010 and I think it's a free to play browser game (typically like Ogame) .It's possible that the game is juste text based but I remember it being multiplayer. There are also a hierarchy based systems where players can climb and become a boss (?) . I'm really sorry for the bad English and the lack of precision but I've been thinking about it and can't remember the name of the game or if it's still active.
